Rumi: Why Look at all?

As I explored Rumi, one of the most impacting and profound discovery was this:

Rumi's long search for the missing Shams suddenly ended with the clear and unequivocal realization that such a search was not needed at all ... that his search for the Friendship was not needed at all ... and that he was indeed the Friendship ... that he was The Friend ... that he was already that which he was searching for!

Of course, such an undeniable realization is the paradoxical gift or gem waiting for any spiritual seeker. And naturally, Rumi expresses this realization in countless ways ... in many many poems.
