And here's the text of the poem:

no word is real enough
to conjure up a crumb of bread
still we try to find nourishment
in endless musing

no thought is thick enough
to cushion a fall
yet we pursue idle distractions
while tripping on obstacles in our path

there is a silent voice behind the words
there is a quiet source of every thought
listen withoit your ears
ponder without your mind
rest your senses and your sense
for just one moment of this stillness
will sustain and uphold you forever

As you can see and hear in this gem ... Nirmala, reminds us of  That which is Always here ... just like Rumi, Kabir, Hafez (Hafiz), and other mystical poets  ...  so many different and beautiful ways to point to ... The Mystery ... and be reminded of .... The Mystery.

You can download this entire book for free from Nirmala's website: Nirmala also offers several of his other books for free download from his website.

Please note that the various stanza repetitions and emphasis are my own spontaneous and inexplicable adaptations.
